Jan 20, Carol [Goodreads Addict] rated it really liked it Shelves: This is a short, super sweet story of a woman running from a past but not sure what she was searching for and the cowboy who found her.
Hank Dalton is one of five brothers. They live on Paradise Valley Ranch with their parents, population seven. So, in order to get their land, they must first find a wife. If he takes a wife, it will be for love and no other reason. He is on his way back to the ranch from town when he happens upon a broken down car and a woman who seems lost, in more ways than one.
Something about her, though, draws him to her. He can sense that she is running from something so he treads carefully but he is determined to see what could be between them. But she never imagined ending up out in the middle of nowhere.
Then there is her sexy cowboy rescuer, Hank. He is definitely something out of a western novel with his ingrained manners and way of life. The last thing she needs, though, is a man right now. This is not where she wanted to end up. No matter what kind of feelings she is developing for this man, she is leaving as soon as her car is fixed. He was perfect for her. Just what she needed to heal from her past. Well, both he and his family. They show her what love truly is. But it takes awhile for her to figure out what she really wants.
Can she be happy on this ranch out in the middle of nowhere?
Can she trust in a real love that could last forever or is it just a fairy tale? View all 16 comments. Well, let me tell you about a place in Texas called Paradise Valley and the 5 strappin' fellas who are in need to get married It seems their parents have decided the boys need to find their women folk and settle down How they are to fi 3. How they are to find these women While this hard fact is being told to the Dalton sons, Charlotte is starting her new life.
She is driving from Arizona with just a suitcase and a few bucks, looking for a small town to discover herself. She just survived an intended death sentence from an ex boyfriend.
He drugged her and left her to burn in the fire he started in her apartment. She was saved by neighbors and undergone skin grafting leaving her scarred on the hip and in her mind. She is driving out in this valley when deer or some type of wild life come out of no where and she brakes the car so as not to hurt them. Mission accomplished, no deer were injured She remembers some house about 10 minutes away, she has no cell service and the sun is setting As luck would have it, one of the brothers, Hank drives by and sees her stranded.
He stops and while checking out the car, he checks her out, too. Hank is the real deal. He was raised old school; manners, respect for women and others were drilled into him by his mama.

This was short, sweet and hot with great characters and a nice, slow burn, old fashioned romance.

Hank Dalton can't believe it, his parents have just dropped the bombshell that he and his four brothers have to marry in order to inherit their part of the ranch and a beautiful woman lands in his valley, his brothers are away on their 'wife hunt' so the coast is clear, could it really be that easy This book was everything I expected, a sweet if somewhat predictable read, is Hank too good to be true? Yes he is but isn't that what we want from a romance hero. I loved him and his whole family, Charlotte was also an interesting character I did want to give her a push a couple of times, I mean come on he's hot and just about perfect Will I read the next book, I just might it depends mainly on the cost but I did like these boys.

The attraction is hot enough to burn down the barn and it certainly pulls them toward each other every chance it gets but this romance is what I call unattainable — when you have a wondering cowboy that fights it every step of the way which adds lots of fiery sparks along with red hot passion. The steady to fast paced and smooth flowing plot mesmerizes readers with lots of suspense, emotional turmoil and romance. The well written scenes and details bring the story to life and the tense and emotion filled events draw the reader into the story from the very beginning and ensure that the reader wants to know every last detail.
Mar 18, Cocktails and Books rated it really liked it. Crazy for the Cowboy fits right into that for me. Our main characters are renewing and old acquaintance and coming together to save a town. Yes, I especially liked Vince and how his character evolved.
The secondary characters are entertaining. Yes, we see Vinc 3. Yes, we see Vince and Georgie fight their attraction for each other and a relationship grows. By the time they acted on their attraction to each other there was a friendship built that would not have happened if they had acted sooner. Yes, done in a fairly unique way. It was an entertaining read, but there was no burning desire to sit down and finish it. I do have to admit to being curious as to how the rest of the Sexy Texans series will play out. The cast of secondary characters are great; I would definitely be interested in seeing how their lives intersect and who pairs up next.
May 31, Krissys rated it really liked it Shelves: It wasn't sexy cowboy hot but it was sweet in that homey finding yourself again in the company of your lost love kind of way. Sometimes I like that re-discovering your past and past emotions when it catches up with your current self. Sometimes you never know when the person of your dreams is standing right in front of you or if they once slipped right through your fingers. The best part of reunion stories - which I'm mostly partial to anyway is that you get to find out if things really would have worked out.

Crazy for the Cowboy is the first book in a series that centers on a dying town, but with the help of current and former residents they make plans to turn things around. Vince use to work at the guest ranch but since it closed he has moved on to work at other ranches in the area, yet a certain mysterious horse has been on his mind and he wants to see if the Ghost is still around. They start talking about an idea that might just bring in the tourist and Wildhorse Canyon Adventures starts to materialize, but Vince believes he will be long gone by the time it gets off the ground. This had a different feel than many books I have read lately.
It was a bit depressing in the beginning as the story centers around a dying town and the residents that are at a loss of how to help resurrect things but the story picks up when ideas come together. Georgie is just trying to keep the general store afloat, she has lived in Bickford Texas since she was born and has been through some good times and bad. When Vince and his buddies come to town she is worried they want to pick up where they left off, crazy cowboys stirring up trouble.
Vince is not your typical hero and would not even be in town except he was feeling nostalgic about the Ghost, the elusive wild horse. When he arrives he remembers a woman who also caught his fancy and was happy to see her still in town and still single. Vince is different, he has no desire to stay in one place and when he suggests the adventure idea he has no plans to be here when they launch. I guess I wanted more from him, I enjoy reading about reluctant heroes but he was almost too reluctant.
However between Georgie and the horses, he is pulled in, fighting with every breath. The two are looking at different futures and have no plans for their tentative friendship to grow into anything more and the romance is slow to build. She knows he will not stay and he knows she will not leave. It is only after he realizes that he is getting personally invested and wants not only to see how things progress with the adventure business but also with Georgie. The pace of the story is relaxed and there is not much drama as we watch their relationship slowly turn into much more.
I thought it was a cute romance with a reluctant hero and heroine who rally to help a town they both love. Crazy For the Cowboy is set in Bickford Texas, a small town on the decline. Since the local ranch that brought in tourist burnt to the ground four years ago, things just haven't been the same.

But with her and her sister being the only two under the age of 50 in the town, if something doesn't change soon, her dreams of staying in Bickford might be just a dream.
So when Travis, Mac and Vince come strolling into town one weekend, Georgie gets a little suspicious. She remembers the three cowboys from their days on the ranch. Why would they be coming back to a town that holds nothing for them? The boys are in town for a little reunion and are set on going after the wild horse herd that roams just outside of Bickford. Vince has always had the dream of catching the pack leader - a stallion named Ghost.
And when he finds out that Georgie is ready to thwart their plans, he becomes even more dead set on proving her wrong. He can and will catch the stallion. Georgie and her sister do what they can to make sure the boys don't make it out onto the trail. While Mac and Travis question why they returned to the small town that is far from its former glory days.
Did Vince only want to go after Ghost or was there an underlying need to see a pretty girl who he hasn't been able to get out of his mind for the last four years.
He sees the car is needing an overhaul. The first thing she checks is the deer is okay, then she checks her car no damage, but also it won't start. He also left unfinished business. The sparks fly between the two of them. With four of the five Dalton boys on a wife hunt what she gets is eldest brother Hank Dalton offering a bit of Paradise Valley, Texas hospitality over her car.
A Miss Georgie Bickford to be exact. Crazy For the Cowboy is book one in a new series.
